Meet the artist
Elizabeth Dale is an emerging artist from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, currently in her third year at NSCAD University. She explores a wide range of mediums in her practice but is primarily an oil painter. Her current work explores a wide array of themes, often using birds as her subject to depict concepts such as ecology, consciousness and social relations.
Grounded in personal reflection following the loss of her grandmother and great-grandmother, Elizabeth's work treats observation through hiking as both a creative and meditative process. Navigating the world as a child of the internet, she uses her practice to counter modern digital detachment, seeking to foster deeper engagement with the natural world.
